In a letter to a friend the great Impressionist painter, Claude Monet, wrote, ‘what keeps my heart awake is colourful silence.’ This poetic description seemed a fitting title for my Spring/Summer 2022 collection as I feel it sums up this style of my work perfectly. As larger versions of my Mindscapes, this body of work uses colour to create abstract landscapes with my signature white overlayers shrouding them in mystery and intrigue.
Like the Sirens of Greek mythology, they whisper in the ear of the viewer to come closer, drawing you in to get lost in their details. Each one is ideal for mindful meditation as there is so much to discover and the subtle use of colour will quietly raise your vibration leaving you uplifted every time you engage with them.
