This is the love that is perhaps the hardest to practice: self-love. But without it, as Aristotle observed, we are unable to fully love anyone else. Healthy Philautia is having a deep connection to self and an acceptance of it. It is resilience and forgiveness, and knows to put ourselves first but only so that we are better positioned to serve others, not for egotistic gains.
Be The Love is a series of nine pieces inspired by love of all kinds. Created intuitively using a simple and quietly elegant palette of gentle neutrals, blush pinks and soft greens representative of compassion, each piece depicts a type of love as categorised by Greek philosophy.
